Iced Earth

Iced Earth performed at 'The Phoenix Concert Theatre' in Toronto on March 26, 2018. A 'Live Nation' presentation.

For a Monday night, The Phoenix Concert Theatre rocked the night away. It was an all Metal night for sure... almost everyone was dressed for the occasion with black leather jackets, faded torn jeans, their favourite 'Metal' band T-shirts and then there was me with my baby blue dress shirt shooting the event. Talk about not blending in...

For some reason the door did not open on time, and quite a lot of folks missed the first three songs of 'Kill Ritual' one the opening bands. Sanctuary was the second band to perform. They dedicated the entire set to Warrel Dane who passed away last year. Overall a good performance. (Click here for more on Sanctuary).

The main event of the night 'Iced Earth' come out with a bang, light show, pyro and all... The energy could be felt as soon as the band started both from the musicians and the crowd. Focal point of the night was the drummer, his entire 'Rock Kit' in a cage/rack which was well used by front man formally from 'Into Eternity'... Stu Block. Stu, would climb the rack and perform some of his songs, without missing a beat.

Overall an amazing performance by Iced Earth and for all you Metal Heads out there, do not miss out on this band.
