Rainbow Kitten Surprise at Budweiser Stage in Toronto on September 21, 2024An Electric Weekend: Lightning, Music and Magic at Budweiser Stage. This weekend was nothing short of electric - both on stage and up in the skies. With intense lightning storms rolling through Toronto, the concert venue was forced to delay the start time to ensure everyone's safety. Kicking things off was none other than Nicholos Carpenter, better known by his stage name, Medium Build. His music is a fusion of indie rock, pop and folk, all woven together with raw emotion and introspective lyrics. His sound feels intimate and confessional. After a strong opener, the night truly hit its stride with the arrival of the headliner: Rainbow Kitten Surprise (RKS). All the way from North Carolina, RKS brought their highly anticipated 'Love Hate Music Box' tour to Budweiser Stage. Rainbow Kitten surprise's sound has often been compared to that of Kings of Leon, one of my favorite bands. Their songs delve into themes like love, mental health, self-discovery and identity. Melo's soulful vocals added a raw emotional edge to the night, making every lyric feel urgent and alive. The night was unforgettable, filled with powerful music and a few extra thrills courtesy of Mother Nature herself. Despite the delay, both Medium Build and Rainbow Kitten Surprise delivered performances that more than made up for the short wait. If you ever get a chance to see either act live, don't miss it...
