Arkells with special guest Matt Mays performed at the Tribute Communities Centre in Oshawa on November 23, 2017.

Opening the night was Canadian indie rock singer-songwriter Matt Mays. I watched Matt Mays in concert this September when he performed in Oshawa at The Music Hall Night Club & Concert Theatre., which was not so long ago. I knew he would put on a great performance.

The Arkells, from Hamilton Ontario stormed out on stage and from the get-go captured the audience. Max Kerman, lead vocals and Mike DeAngelis, lead guitar stole the show with Max's stage presence and Mike's guitar riffs.

The Arkells started their set with "Amazing Grace" and segued into "Making Due". "Come To Light" and "Michigan Left" were next. I love their two cover of Jerry Lee Lewis "Pullin' Punches / Great Balls Of Fire" and "My Music At Work", a Tragically Hip Cover.
