Our Lady Peace & Mathew Good with Ascott Royals brought out a crowd of all ages at the Tribute Communities Centre in Oshawa on March 13, 2018. It was the eighth stop on their joint Canadian tour.

Rock veterans 'Our Lady Peace' and 'Mathew Good' rocked the Tribute Communities Centre in Oshawa. 'Ascott Royals', a high spirited was the perfect opener for the two bands that followed... I've had the opportunity to watch Ascott Royals before so I knew what to expect. Jimmy Chauveau, the lead singer never disappoints with his vocal range and pleasing personality. The band's powerful catchy tunes tore away through their entire set in a breeze. They ended by asking the crowd to raise their hands in the air and clap along to their last song.

As the arena started filling up and preparations for the next band completed... it was time! 

Mathew Good, a Canadian alternative rock artist stepped out on stage and got the party started. He played two of my favourite songs 'Something Like A Storm' and 'Apparitions'. Good's one comment was "I don't how people can sit down at a Rock Concert"... almost immediately the fans complied by standing up!

Our Lady Peace waisted no time and started the set with 'Hiding Place for Hearts' followed by 'Superman's Dead'. Their played an acoustic set which included 'In Repair' and 'Somewhere Out There'. A remarkable light show accompanied OLP's stellar performance and for a Tuesday night in Oshawa, the venues was pretty much packed. The Encore comprised of 'Ballad of a Poet', 'Hello Time Bomb' and my all time favourite 'Starseed'.

All in all it was a great night for Oshawa and Tribute Communities Centre... Make sure you catch them on their Canadian Tour!
