Capturing Miss Emily's Magic at Blues Holler

Yesterday, I had the incredible opportunity to photograph Miss Emily at Blues Holler in Uxbridge, Ontario, an event presented by Music By The Bay Live. This wasn’t my first time capturing her electrifying performance—I previously shot her at The Avion Lounge in Port Whitby Marina, and she never fails to deliver a show that leaves you buzzing.

The weather at Blues Holler was perfect: a sunny day with clear skies, though a cool breeze kept things refreshing in the shade. The outdoor setting added a vibrant backdrop to the soulful sounds filling the air. Miss Emily brought her signature energy, commanding the stage with every note and movement, making my job as a photographer both thrilling and challenging as I worked to capture her dynamic presence.

Kicking off the show was Matt Allen, co-founder of The Swingin’ Blackjacks, who set the tone with a lively performance that warmed up the crowd. The combination of great music, a passionate audience, and that golden-hour light made for some unforgettable shots.
