On December 6, 2025, The Danforth Music Hall in Toronto, the crowd was treated to a powerful double-bill featuring opening act Terra Lightfoot and headliners The Trews. The energy, the vibe, and the music all delivered a solid night for Canadian rock and roots-rock lovers.

Terra Lightfoot, hailing from Hamilton, Ontario brought her signature blend of roots, folk, and rock to open the show. Known for her bold vocals and guitar chops, she’s built a reputation as a tireless live performer, touring across four continents and sharing stages with heavyweights like Blue Rodeo, Willie Nelson, and Bruce Cockburn.

The main event. The Trews, a rock band from Antigonish, Nova Scotia (now based in Hamilton, ON), have been around since the late ’90s and built a reputation as one of Canada’s hard-rock stalwarts.

Over the decades they’ve released multiple albums, racked up a string of charting rock radio singles, and earned a spot among Canada’s best-selling rock artists. Their 2003 debut, House of Ill Fame, remains a favorite among long-time fans.
